Transport

The HAVI Logistics own transport fleet consists of almost 700 trucks. We have specialized in the combined delivery of food and non-food articles - temperature controlled as well as non temperature controlled - to our customers.

We have therefore developed special equipment for our truck fleet to secure product-suitable and economical transport. Variable bulkheads separate the compartments of the loading area in each truck into up to four different temperature compartments per loading unit. The appropriate temperatures are continuously displayed in the driver's cab, constantly monitored and documented by temperature recorders.

Both measures secure the maintenance of the high quality of all articles during the whole transport process and result in a total flexibility combining temperature controlled and ambient goods. Different vehicles like doubles, long and short trailer trucks and transporters can be selected, as best suits the specific situation.

In view of the high share of transport costs within the supply chain, transport optimization is also a critical success factor for us and thus for our customers.

For this reason, modern IT tools are used to achieve ongoing route optimizations based on individual customer needs.
What this means for us is a maximum exploitation of truck capacity. For instance we pick up inbound freight as back haul wherever possible on the way from the customer to our Distribution Centers to avoid empty transports and to save costs to the greatest possible extent.
